Saratoga got off to a rousing start on Wednesday, and even the rain held off until late in the day. Mother Nature was kind after showing her wrath during the opening week of the meeting last year.
There were plenty of prices to be found on the ten race card, with an abundance of large fields leading toward great betting opportunities.

Padding Your Bankroll: Wednesday July 22
The final week of the Belmont Park meeting starts today, which ends on Sunday. Then starting next week it is off to Saratoga for the marquee meeting of the New York racing schedule each year.
It would be nice to pad our bankroll this week to be ready for the Spa, and today’s card looks like it could get us off to a good start.

Winners of this year’s Preakness and Belmont are headed for a showdown in the $1 million Haskell Invitational on Aug. 2. Too bad the Kentucky Derby winner opted for the $750,000 West Virginia Derby a day earlier.
