Cardinals versus Chargers NFL Week 12 Odds & Pick

NFL Betting News
It’s usually about this stage of the NFL season when the real Super Bowl contenders begin to separate from the rest of the pack. Generally speaking, you have 3 or 4 teams that start to seriously compete for the top 2 spots in each conference. That battle is raging particularly hard in the AFC, where the Chiefs and Steelers are currently leading the way, with a couple of teams hot on their heels. One of the teams that are right in the thick of the action is the LA Chargers, although they are not getting many of the headlines in the AFC.
The reason why they have been going under the radar may well be because of their performance in recent years. The Chargers have been consistently good, but they have made a habit of coming up just short in big games and playoff pushes. They can potentially creep into the top two in the conference with a win over the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, a game that they will start as a 13-point favorite, with the point total set at 44 ½.

Aqueduct Fall Meet Handicapping Preview

Bet the Kentucky Derby at USRacing Today!Aqueduct Fall Meet Handicapping Preview for many horseplayers and handicappers, the approaching winter racing season means Florida and Southern California racing is soon to come, as the best racing of the season migrates away from cold-weather places. However, there’s at least one cold-weather place where racing continues all through the fall and winter. And it’s a place that handicappers should not overlook — Aqueduct.

Even if you are the type of horseplayer who prefers to play the big winter meets at this time of year, Aqueduct offers excellent betting opportunities for winter-racing horseplayers, particularly on weekends, with big pools and big purses and good racing during the otherwise sparse months of December, January and February. Plus, the November portion of the Aqueduct meet is amongst the best there is in racing for much of the month.

Aqueduct opened on Friday, Nov. 2, and will race on a five-day-per-week schedule through November. Racing at Aqueduct switches to four days a week from December through March. And note that Aqueduct will not be closed for its holiday break, as has been the case in years past.

The 2018-19 Aqueduct winter schedule will all be run on the new winterized main track surface, which was inaugurated last season to good reviews. Therefore, any statistical information older than last season, obviously, is irrelevant, including stats on turf races, because now the turf races are divided into inner- and outer-course affairs, thereby making old turf numbers and trends irrelevant too. What was the inner track is now a second turf course at Aqueduct and, if you like turf racing, you can bet that the Aqueduct turf courses will be used to the fullest throughout November to mid-December. After that, the turf will not be a part of the winter racing product at Aqueduct until the climate permits the grass courses to reopen next April.

Why Bet On the Los Angeles Chargers?
Why should you bet on the Chargers in Week 9? There are several great reasons like the fact that the Bolts have the higher scoring offense in this matchup. The, there’s also the fact that Los Angeles is on a nice roll, having won four straight games coming into this contest including their narrow 20-19 home win over Tennessee two weeks ago.

Another great reason is that the Chargers are well-rested after getting a bye last weekend. Last but not least, L.A. has an outstanding quarterback in veteran Philip Rivers that really doesn’t have to take a back seat to anyone not named Drew Brees, Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers.

NFL Betting Tips on How to Handicap Fading Teams

NFL Betting Tips on How to Handicap Fading Teams
Written by Jordan Walters on July 14, 2017

Sports Betting Explained
What is fading a team in sports betting? It simply means betting against them in any game they are playing. It’s not always going to mean wagering against a team that’s lousy. For example, the Jacksonville Jaguars were just 3-13 last NFL season but they lost a lot of close games and managed to go 8-8 ATS. Here are some examples of when to fade this coming season. Also, be sure to check out for more NFL betting odds and picks for this season.
NFL Betting Tips on How to Handicap Fading Teams
Road Teams On Short Week
A few years ago, the NFL – in its attempt to make even more money – decided to stage a Thursday night game every week of the regular season except Week 17. The only reason it’s not the final week of the season is that the league doesn’t want two teams on short rest having to play an important game that could determine a playoff spot or seeding, etc. It’s statistically proven that the road teams in these quick-turnaround games are at a significant disadvantage. They basically only get one full day of practice because of resting up after the previous Sunday on Monday and then traveling to the new city on Wednesday. The home team essentially gets one full day of practice extra – and home field is worth 3 points or so regardless. Since Thursday night football became a weekly season-long deal in 2012, excluding the opening games not subject to a short week, the home team has won about 56 percent of the time.
